Flamenco Workshops for Schools
Bring the energy, rhythm and culture of Spain into your school with our interactive Flamenco Workshops, designed for students from Pre-Reception to Year 11.
Led by Maika Jiménez Blanco, an experienced Flamenco teacher with over 20 years of teaching and performance experience, these engaging workshops introduce students to the vibrant world of Flamenco through movement, music and cultural exploration.
Students learn the foundations of Flamenco in a fun and accessible way, including expressive arm movements (braceo), rhythmic footwork (taconeo), hand clapping (palmas) and simple choreography. Sessions are tailored to the age and ability of each group, ensuring that every student can participate and enjoy the experience.
More than just a dance workshop, Flamenco encourages creativity, confidence, coordination, musicality and self-expression while fostering teamwork and cultural awareness. Students gain insight into Spanish traditions and the rich heritage of Flamenco, recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Our workshops are ideal for:
Arts and cultural enrichment programmes
Language and Spanish-themed events
Diversity and inclusion celebrations
International days and multicultural festivals
Creative curriculum projects
End-of-term activities and special events
Whether your students are taking their very first dance steps or are already enthusiastic performers, our Flamenco Workshops provide an unforgettable experience that inspires participation, learning and enjoyment.
Flamenco for everybody – bringing the passion and joy of Spanish culture directly to your school.
