Flamenco with Maika offers classes for complete beginners as well as students with previous experience. Beginners are introduced to the fundamentals of flamenco, including posture, rhythm, basic footwork and arm movements, in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely is perfect for your first class. Many students wear a long skirt or comfortable trousers and shoes with a small heel if possible. If you don’t have flamenco shoes yet, you can start with any comfortable shoes with a stable heel.

Classes introduce students to a variety of flamenco styles, each with its own rhythm and character. Depending on the course, students may work on styles such as Sevillanas, Guajiras, Garrotin or other traditional forms while developing musicality, expression and technique.
