Flamenco at Queen's Park Day 2026

Join Flamenco with Maika for an afternoon of passion, rhythm and Spanish culture at Queen's Park Day 2026.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the historic bandstand, Maika and her students will present a vibrant flamenco showcase featuring traditional choreographies, expressive movement and the energy that makes flamenco one of the world's most captivating dance forms.

Whether you are a long-time flamenco lover or completely new to the art form, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty, emotion and joy of Spanish dance in the heart of Queen's Park.

Programme

15:30 – Flamenco Showcase
Enjoy a performance by the students of Flamenco with Maika, celebrating their hard work, creativity and love of flamenco.

16:00 – Free Flamenco Workshop
After the performance, everyone is invited to join an interactive flamenco workshop led by Maika. Learn some authentic flamenco movements, discover the rhythms of Spain, and experience the joy of dancing together. No previous experience is required.
